What is nose filler treatment?

Nose filler, also commonly referred to as non-surgical rhinoplasty, is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment that can help to redefine your nose. For instance, it’s commonly applied to smoothen bumps, dents, and creases.

Is non-surgical rhinoplasty safe?

All nose filler treatments delivered here at the Ilkley Skin Clinic are safe and of exceptional quality, and our clinicians adhere to industry-leading standards.

Ahead of your rhinoplasty treatment, as part of your initial consultation, you’ll receive an in-depth explanation of what the experience will involve, the results you can expect, and an overview of the healing process – including a view of the realistic side effects like swelling and bruising.

To give you complete peace of mind, your clinician will also be more than happy to address any nose filler questions, queries, or concerns you have at any stage of the process – whether you’re visiting us for the first time for an initial consultation or close to undergoing the procedure.

What are the benefits of nose filler treatment?

Whether you’re looking to smoothen out bumps or redefine the tip of your nose, there are many advantages of getting non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment from a trusted practitioner:

  • Reshape bumps: Perhaps the main reason people choose non-surgical rhinoplasty is to improve facial symmetry, smooth out nose bumps, or better-define the tip of the nose.
  • Non-surgical: Our nose filler procedure is non-surgical, so any alterations are non-permanent.
  • Minimal downtime: In most cases, patients undergoing nose filler treatment can return to normalcy relatively quickly, with much of the swelling and bruising typically subsiding within days.
  • Immediate results: The results of non-surgical rhinoplasty are visible immediately after the procedure, so you can enjoy your new look right away.
  • Reversible: Because we use dissolvable hyaluronic acid, our nose filler treatment can be reversed if you do end up changing your mind.
  • Temporary: Nose filler is a non-permanent treatment, meaning you’re not committed to the final look at this stage. If you’re unsure whether permanent surgical rhinoplasty is for you, this can be an effective way of trying out a ‘new nose’.

Nose filler FAQs

To finish off, we’ve answered some commonly asked questions about non-surgical rhinoplasty, to help you decide whether it’s the right treatment for you.

Can you have nose filler treatment when pregnant?

Nose filler isn’t recommended during pregnancy. If you have any specific questions around this we’d suggest reaching out to your clinician.

When can I wash my face after nose filler?

After non-surgical rhinoplasty, the area around your nose is going to be sensitive, and you’ll likely experience some level of swelling and/or bruising.

Avoiding pressure is the main thing here, so for the first 24 hours we’d suggest gently using a wipe to cleanse, rather than washing your face as normal. After this time, you may be able to resume regular washing, but it’s worth seeking the advice of your clinician after treatment.

How long after rhinoplasty treatment can I wear makeup?

It’s generally suggested to wait at least 24 hours after undergoing non-surgical rhinoplasty before applying makeup to the treated area. This is to reduce irritation, prevent infection, and ensure you don’t unsettle the filler.
