Lip filler

Lip fillers are a relatively pain free procedure to have, as here at Refinity Aesthetics we use dental anaesthetic to ensure minimal discomfort.

The anaesthetic take effect almost immediately, and will wear off approximately 1-3 hours after the procedure. Lip filler has some downtime associated with it, superficial noticeable swelling will be present for the following 3-7 days, depending upon technique used and the individuals recovery.

Deep tissue swelling and bruising that is not visible can take up to one month to fully settle, and during this time the sensation of small lumps and firmness is completely normal. Visible bruising is quite likely after lip filler and may be apparent for the first few days, this is quick to subside.

Filler in the lips generally lasts for 9-12 months, although this can vary between individuals.
